a wild time for winners at dundonald primary school!

On Friday I visited Dundonald Primary School to see two of our C2K Newsdesk prize winners! Tom was one of the prize winners of our C2K 'animals in Autumn' competition.

We asked school children across Northern Ireland to draw a picture of an animal that hibernates or is adapted to cold climates and to research some fun facts!

We received more than 900 entries to the competition and Tom's picture of a hedgehog was so artistic and he even incorporated some natural materials including leaves and twigs to represent their natural habitat and nest they create for hibernation.

Ella, one of our highly commended winners, also joined in the fun!

It is fantastic to think that so many little explorers in classrooms across Northern Ireland, tuned in to learn with our video resource and took the time to deliver such amazing works of art.

Teachers can tune into the C2K Newsdesk over the next 9 weeks to find out all about the ‘wee ways we can all change the world’ no matter how big or small we are.

Thank you to everyone at Dundonald Primary School for making me and the Wee Critters so welcome today and congratulations to our little winners!
